Optician or COA - Learning and Development Trainer

Eye Recommend

Eye Recommend is looking to add a full-time Learning and Development Trainer to our team based out of Alberta. This position is responsible for the development and delivery of learning solutions using a variety of techniques including classroom training, in-office training, online training, and other technologies to Eye Recommend members.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the creation and execution of new in-office trainings based on membership needs
  • Facilitate all training programs with a high degree of professionalism and organization
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Business Coaches on areas that they can assist for member in-office training, assessments, and opportunities.
  • Support training colleagues in collaboration, creation, organization, facilitation, and assistance as required
  • Offer strong customer service to internal Eye Recommend members and act as a liaison and contact person for training related inquiries
  • Provide direction to members and Office Managers on training implementation, procedures and best practices or all other inquiries as needed.
  • Provide training and/or support at Eye Recommend and industry events
  • Provincial license or certification by a nationally accredited association as an optician
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to navigate and tailor training to various learning styles
  • Results Orientated
  • Proficient PC knowledge including Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Willing and able to travel throughout the region as needed

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Provincial license or certification by a nationally accredited association such as an Optician or Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA)
