Central Saanich Optometry is looking for you!
We are a bunch of quirky people who want to add you to the fold! At Central Saanich Optometry, we pride ourselves in giving the patients of our small close-knit community a positive and professional experience. We have been doing so for 25 years and counting!
We focus heavily on medical eyecare and offering customized solutions to our patients. You will be working with doctors that have a passion for the cutting-edge management of eye diseases, with a special interest in dry eye therapy and myopia management.
If you have previous work experience in the optometric or optical industry, we want to meet you. We are looking to fill a full or part time position with hours that may include days, evenings, and weekends.
Your skills:
- You will be responsible for assisting patients with the selection of frames and lenses, always prioritizing what is best for their needs. In addition, you will be handling repairs, adjustments, edging of the lenses, contact lens training, booking patients and answering phone calls. Training will be provided for any skill set not trained in.
- You bring energy and enthusiasm to your work and thrive by creating a positive experience for the people that you help. You are friendly, and helping people is your calling!
- You love learning new things and love sharing your knowledge with your patients.
- You are a great multitasker and can handle a face-paced environment.
- Love working with your hands and have fine manual dexterity. You will be performing repairs and mount lenses into frames in the lab with our lens edger.
What you are looking for:
- You want to thrive in a work environment that will support your ongoing professional growth and training.
- You want to commit to excellence for yourself and want to work with others who do. You have ideas about how to improve your work and want to be able to share them.
- Want to work with a team of professionals that are happy to provide support and answer your questions.
- Want to work within work environment who values their team members and invests in them. We offer competitive pay and a medical and vision benefit package for our full-time employees.
- Ease of commute with on-site parking in our smaller rural community!
