ESSENTIAL

Organizational Able to organize duties into daily, weekly, and monthly routine and complete them on time.

Computer Skills Must be competent on computers/tablets and able to learn electronic medical records.

Written Communication Able to produce quality written correspondence that is accurate, professional and effective.

Verbal Communication Able to effectively communicate with other staff members, patients and other outside business contacts with proper etiquette and in a professional manner.


NON-ESSENTIAL

General Office Operations: Properly operates administrative equipments (printers/copier/fax/ credit card machine and postage meter)


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary:

  • Optical Sales
  • Adjustments and Frame Repair
  • Optical material dispensing
  • Order Check-in
  • Vendor relations
  • Merchandise purchasing
  • Job process evaluation
  • Optical Lab relations
  • Optical Statement review **
  • Optical and dispensary Maintenance and cleanliness
  • Optical Supply Inventory Management
  • Supervises and controls operation of the reception area including compliance actions of all company personnel, security, policies and approved procedures as they relate to the reception area. Informs the Administrator of lens and supply trends, needs, or problems
  • Maintain positive relations with patients by insuring professional follow-up on any patient requests or customer service issues

Secondary

  • Contacts (soft, RGP, Orthokeratology, scleral lenses)
  • Conduct insertion & referral sessions (training on specialty contacts can be provided)
  • Document a minimum of one optical procedural protocol per month
  • CL Check In
  • Phone reception
