LMC Healthcare (LMC) is Canada’s largest specialist care provider in diabetes, endocrinology & metabolism. We are searching for an Optometric Assistant who can work 3 days/week in our multidisciplinary clinic located in Ottawa. Two days will be in clinic, supporting our optometrist; pre-testing patients, checking them in/out, invoicing & billing. The third day will be remote work doing recalls, answering phone messages and replying to emails. Training will be provided on the diagnostic equipment, although any experience would be an asset. Patient lists will be provided in order to do the outreach calls.
Excellent communication skills are a must, both verbal and written. You are friendly, confident and self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and able to work without much supervision. If this describes you, we would love to discuss this opportunity in more detail.
