Doig Optometry is a full scope optometry practice in central Calgary, at Heritage Drive and MacLeod Trail south. Our hours of operation are Monday 9-5, Tuesday 10 am-8 pm, Wednesdays 9-5, Thursday 9-5, and Friday 7am-3. We are Closed on Weekends. We have an urgent need for a part time Optometric Assistant 2-4 days per week. Experience in any or all of the following will be an asset and remuneration will be commensurate with the capabilities and experience of the candidate.
Telephone Triage of Eye Care Emergencies
Eye Exam Scheduling and Recall
Pre-Testing related to Vision Care including Photography, OCT, Corneal Topography, and Lensometry.
Visual Field Testing
Contact Lens Dispensing
Frame Selection and Eyeglass Dispensing
Alberta Health Care Submissions and Reconciliations For Optometry Billings
Private and 3rd Party Insurance Claims and Reconciliation For Eye Exams, Eyeglass and Contact Lens Purchases.
Patient Recall for Routine Eye Exams and for Monitoring of Ocular Health Disorders.
Visual Eyes Optometric Practice Management Software
The successful candidate will have above average interpersonal skills and the personal character traits necessary to provide our clients with exceptional, positive patient experiences. The successful candidate will be able to maintain professional and congenial relationships with co-workers, suppliers and industry partners. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with our doctors as an integral member of our team approach to patient care.
