As an Optician you will be responsible for retail sales of eye wear products, selection and fitting of the correct optical eye wear including determining the power ranges and specific lens measurements by framing, measuring, fitting and adapting lenses and frames for client according to written optical prescription or specification. You will be responsible for giving advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling of eye wear products, repairs of customer eye glasses, follow-up patient care, offering in-depth knowledge of our products, and providing excellent patient service. Your main focus will be patient care, building a lasting rapport and sharing product knowledge ensuring happy and repeating customers.
Knowledge and Skills
- Optical dispensing experience
- Knowledge of current optical theory, practices and application of knowledge
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Applicant must be patient, caring and in tune with the patient's’ needs
- Previous experience in customer service and retail sales
- Our onsite finishing lab requires knowledge and experience of edging, repairs, etc
- Applicant must be able to multitask
