Lakeland Family Eyecare is growing and we need more people! Our progressive Optometry practice offers patients the latest in technology and high-end products. We are looking for a full time Licensed Optician for our St. Paul location. The ideal candidate should be outgoing, friendly and enjoy helping patients find the right visual solutions. Join us and work closely with a friendly, fun, well-educated team in a new technologically advanced clinic.
Excellent remuneration - increasing with experience, full benefits package, as well as continued education and training. Salary Range from $49,000 to $58,000 depending on experience and credentials.
Duties/Skills
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist patients with frame selection, styling, fitting, lens selection and measurements
- Enter lab orders and accurate patient information as well as supply insurance forms and receipts
- Verify prescription eyeglasses and notify patients when eyewear is ready
- Dispense, adjust and repair eyewear
- Schedule follow up appointments as needed
- Instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses
- Troubleshoot and problem solve eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction
- Monitor job status from optical labs and ensure accuracy and quality
- Participate in personal and team development training and initiatives including staff meetings, continuing education and conferences
- Cross train in other areas of clinic as needed
