Optical Office Administrator – Gregory’s Optical Centre

We are searching for a part-time Optical Office Administrator to join our health care team. Position will transition into a maternity leave position. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Gregory's Optical Centre has two busy eye clinics in London, Ontario. With over 40 years of service in the same location, our team cares about ensuring that patients receive the best care and products. This job opening is at the Wharncliffe Road location in London’s desirable Old South neighbourhood, in our own building with plenty of parking.

We are looking for a dynamic, organized and detail oriented individual who will be responsible to keep the centre running smoothly. We consider this position the hub of the clinic and extremely important to ensuring we provide outstanding health care. Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Working closely with our optometrists and team mates to provide excellent health care
    • Pretest and OCT
    • Managing the flow of clients and information for the clinic
    • Ensuring the appointment book is full and that appointments have been confirmed
    • Coordinating insurance and provincial health care billings
    • Accurate and careful handling of patient files
    • Data entry, accurately completing daily reports

Strong communication skills and attention to detail is a must. Candidate has at least 1 year of optical experience, including pretesting experience, and is self-motivated to grow and learn.
